Trussed Rafters
Elvet Structures provide a design and manufacturing service for purpose made trussed rafters or roof trusses and structures in accordance with BS5268.
Made from kiln dried and stress graded timber, standard trussed rafter or roof truss can be designed up to 11 metres in 35mm timber, and 15 metres in 47mm timber. Wider spans are supplied as multiple roof trusses fixed together. For economy, pitches are standardised to between 15 & 40 degrees or we can supply to your spec.
We use Wolf 100 nailplates which are precision punched 1mm gauge metal plates with integral teeth and manufactured from structural grade galvanised mild steel.
All trussed rafters or roof trusses are treated with preservative using new waterborne solutions, or with non-corrosive, spirit-based organic solvents.
