Q. Can Elvet Structures Supply all The Timber requirements for my needs
A. Yes, Elvet can supply everything you will require for your dwelling
from Timber Windows, Doorframes Structural Timbers to Roof Trusses and
Doors.
Q. When Elvet Structures supply a timber framed building kit, what
exactly do we get in the package
A. Your package can be as simple or as
extensive as you wish to make it. Elvet will supply the basic walls and
roof, or supply all the materials you need to complete the whole
dwelling.
Q. What help will we get if we buy from Elvet Structures
A. You will
receive help with every aspect of your construction, whether you are a
first time do it yourselfer or an experienced builder. Our aim is to
have a satisfied customers, so If you are not sure on any point you only
need ask.
Q. What Types of Windows do Elvet Structures manufacture
A. We
manufacture High Performance, Severe Exposure and Standard Windows, in
Hardwood & Softwood, in Top Hung, Side Hung, Side Swing, Top Swing,
Pivot,Tilt & Turn, and a host of differing styles and effects to current
British Standards and to meet every situation.
Q. Can I find a supplier to provide a full build package to my own
special requirements
A. Yes, Elvet Structures have a Turn Key System,
in which we literally supply the whole building package and you receive
the key to turn the lock in your new home!
Q. Which products in their
range do Elvet Structures manufacture themselves
A. We manufacture all
Items at our factory in Willington. We don't "buy in" from any other
company, enabling us to rigorously control the quality and the standard
of finish.
Q. Would you manufacture to my own specifications or drawings
A. Yes,
Elvet Structures do not stock standard Items, all manufactured Items are
made to specifications provided by our customers to meet their exact
requirements.
Q. What happens if I am not sure what measurements are required for
manufacture
A. If you are not sure about sizes, Elvet will do the
measuring for you and will confirm all details before manufacture. Let
us know when you ask for your quotation and we will meet you at your
site to discuss your exact requirements.
Q. How do I measure the span I need for trusses
A. The span is
determined by the distance measured from side to side over all the
buildings wall plates.
Q. How soon after placing an order will I receive delivery
A. The
anticipated delivery date, together with all terms & conditions will be
shown on your quotation.
Q. What if my local authority planning department require calculations
etc.?
A. Elvet Structures provide all the information needed to satisfy
your local authority, from design calculations and structural details.
Q. Will your Products be treated with a preservative or will we need to
treat them ourselves
A. Elvet Structures have there own Hicksons
Pressure Impregnation Preservative Plant at their factory to meet all
the current N.H.B.C. Requirements.
Q. What would be the largest span you could produce in trussed rafters
A. Elvet Structures are able to manufacture trussed rafters for any span
or pitch required. Span is determined by the site position and
feasibility of transportation to the site.
Q. Do Elvet Structures have there own in-house designs
A. Yes offer a
very extensive range of house designs, many of which have been built
locally. Over 400 houses from our King Post range have been built
throughout the country.
